In Spain, an estimated 800,000 people have an allergic reaction to wasps<\/strong>, and between 15 and 20 people die each year from anaphylactic shock.<\/p>\n

Wasps are Hymenoptera insects from the Vespidae family, so they have a fairly advanced social and caste organisation.<\/p>\n

Wasps are divided into two main groups and thousands of species. The groups are social wasps and solitary wasps. The main, most common species are the paper wasp, the common wasp, the German wasp, the Asian hornet and the European hornet.<\/p>\n

Wasps can be mistaken for bees.<\/strong><\/p>\n

However, there are many differences between them. For example, bees are hairier, while wasps have smoother, shinier bodies, a narrower waist and usually black and yellow bands on the abdomen.<\/p>\n
